April 14th, 2012 - Saturday night found Hunter Rasdon again in action at Magnolia Motor Speedway (Columbus, Mississippi) in the inaugural Spring Throw Down as an $8,000-to-win event was on tap. With 43 entries on hand Hunter was fifth fastest in his group to lock into the third starting spot for the first heat race. He would battle the setup in his heat as he slipped backwards to an eighth place finish, which left him starting deep in a b-main. In the b-main he would be unable to advance to a transfer spot, ending his night early. Full results are available at www.MagnoliaDirt.com. Thirty-five Super Late Models entered the $2,000-to-win event, and Hunter qualified fifth fastest in his group before registering a second place finish in his b-main to lock into the 15th starting spot for the 30 lap feature. He would battle around mid-pack for much of the feature before crossing the finish line in the 14th position. Full results are available at www.MagnoliaDirt.com.
March 28th, 2012 - Hunter is extremely excited to finally announce his 2012 racing plans. He has been hired by Team Country Pleasin', based in Star, Mississippi, to drive a Super Late Model team car to team owner, Henry Cooper. The team will be utilizing Vic Hill Racing engines and Warrior Chassis. Hunter's entry will carry his familiar #r5 on the door panel. He will be making his debut in this Friday's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) event at Jackson Motor Speedway (Byram, Mississippi). The team plans to use this season as a learning period for Rasdon so that he can gain seat time in a Super Late Model. They will be competing primarily throughout the Southeast in regional shows and a few of the area's national events. Rasdon comments, "This entire opportunity is a dream come true for me. Words can't describe how excited I am to be piloting a Super Late Model. Henry and everyone with Team Country Pleasin' are providing me with top-notch equipment, and while I want to give the team solid performances and wins, we all understand that I'm new to the Super Late Model division, and it's going to take some seat time. No matter what I'm eternally grateful to Henry for this unbelievable opportunity!" When not competing in the Super Late Model Hunter will still field his own #r5 Mastersbilt/Jay Dickens Open Wheel Modified in various high-profile events. November 6th, 2011 - Hunter headed west over the weekend for the USRA Fall Nationals at Southern New Mexico Speedway (Las Cruces, New Mexico). Eighty-five Open Wheel Modifieds entered the event, and Rasdon began the weekend by entering a preliminary qualifier on Friday evening. He started the night by finishing sixth in his heat, which relegated him to a b-main. He would battle to a fifth place finish in the b-main, but with only the winner transferring to the feature his night came to an early end. On Saturday, a fresh, preliminary program was held, and Hunter would win the eighth heat race to transfer to the feature. In the main event, he raced his way to a 12th place finish. With only the top five cars moving onto Sunday evening's feature, he knew that he would have to race his way out of a b-main to make the $10,000-to-win/$1,500-to-start feature. On Sunday evening after finishing 8th in his last chance qualifier he earned a spot in the b-main. Unfortunately he would be unable to reach a transfer spot to the main event from the b-main, as his weekend came to an early end. Full weekend results are available at www.SNMSpeedway.com. October 22nd, 2011 - Hunter took part in the 32nd Annual Spooker at Tri State Speedway (Pocola, Oklahoma) over the weekend. On Friday night, Rasdon started 10th in his heat before rocketing to a second place finish, which earned him the seventh starting spot for Saturday night's finale. However, Mother Nature would intervene forcing the feature to be postponed until Sunday afternoon. Typical daytime racing would reign supreme on Sunday as Rasdon would only be able to advance to a fourth place finish at the checkered flag. Full results are available at www.TriStateSpeedway.net. October 8th, 2011 - It was an interesting weekend to say the least as the team traveled to Malden Speedway (Malden, Missouri) for the annual Nathan Rettig Memorial. Twenty-seven Open Wheel Modifieds entered the $2,000-to-win event, and after winning his heat race on Friday night, he started outside front row for the main event on Saturday evening. A strange occurrence would take place as Hunter set in staging on Saturday night waiting to enter the racing surface for his feature. He would receive hard contact from behind as a Mini Stock that was trying to rejoin its feature lost its break and slammed into the back of Rasdon's entry. The result would be heavy rearend damage. The team would make repairs quickly, but Hunter would soon realize that his car wasn't quite right. He would fight the ill-handling car to a fifth place finish at the checkered flag behind race winner, Steve Picou, Chris Moore, RC Whitwell, and Jeff Greene. Full results are available at www.MaldenSpeedway.com. October 1st, 2011 - Hunter traveled to Boothill Speedway (Greenwood, Louisiana) over the weekend for the 39th Annual Louisiana State Dirt Track Championship as a $5,000 winner's check was posted for the Open Wheel Modified division. In heat race action, Hunter would claim the win from the second starting spot, and he would back it up by winning the qualifier from the fourth starting position. Via his heat and qualifier wins, Rasdon locked into the pole starting spot for the finale, and he would go on to lead every lap to claim the win, which came over Chris Henigan, Shane Hebert, Eric Turner, and Howard Willis. The win was his fourth of the season and his second $5,000 payday of the year. Full results are available at www.BoothillSpeedway.org.
